He lives in the Bahamas yet he works in the United States.  He is rarely in the same place for more than a few days and those who know him, claim he is the real most interesting man in the world even if he does not drink beer.  Some people know him as the Florida RV Guy from his RVing days while others know him as the Boat Guy because he has more boats than many Caribbean Navies but no matter how you know him,  just about everyone believes he is truly the real most interesting man in the world. He drives fast cars, flies fast planes, navigates the ocean in his yacht, and has had RVs that many consider to be land yachts.  Having fun and living life has become his focus in 2024.

In 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, RJS agreed to issue over ONE MILLION free boomerang club memberships to all the healthcare and essential workers who were the front-line soldiers in the war against the coronavirus.  He has stated that there will be no limit on the number of free memberships his company has committed to provide.  He believes that every front-line soldier will need R&R in the form of a much-needed, much-deserved vacation.  In 2024 Richard gifted the Travel & Vacation Company to his loyal employee & friend who has promised to take the club to new heights on a global basis focused on the Latin market.

It's true and not fictional. He does fly his own plane which is the fastest single-engine turboprop in the world and he does fly his own little plane, which is the fastest fixed-gear single-engine piston aircraft in the world. He captains his own yacht and he drives one of the most expensive cars in the world and his sports car collection is second to none as is his collection of Ford Trucks.  He started as a simple school teacher and admits that he never dreamed he would be doing what he does today no less become a Titan of  Industry. Richard's office is the ultimate "man cave" where he parks his planes, cars, trucks, and Harleys along with a bunch of other big boy toys.   This leaves everyone with the Big Question:  Is it possible? Could he be the real most interesting man in the world?

He is no Donald Trump and unlike Donald Trump,  none of his companies have ever filed for bankruptcy protection and he has a lifetime record of living up to his WORD which many say is his BOND. He does not have an unpublished phone number and he can still be reached on his cell phone. He is always willing to talk to people needing a life coach (the school teacher inside of him) and because of all this, many think that he just may be the real-life most interesting man in the world.

Richard, Sr is known by many names - Richard has been called Mr. O'Malley, Big Daddy, Poppy Rich,  Mr Richard, Mr Joseph, Senior Checkers, Pappa, Jefe, Boss, and some other more juicy names behind his back but no matter how you know him, he is in the history books as the founding father of the Schecher Group Family of Companies as well as several of the niche companies that make up the Schecher Group and are part of the Schecher Organization.

Today in 2024 Richard has sold everything, given away most everything, and is focused upon a new life of retirement with an outlook and attitude towards life.  Yes, Richard maintains a positive attitude always searching for the good in everything while telling all his friends he is now planning to live life like a Jimmy Buffet Song.

 SINCE 1988- that's when it all started with the first Schecher Group Company (SIR SERVICES-NY) with offices on the 79th Floor of the World Trade Center in NYC.   SIR maintained Corporate Offices at the WTC until the tragic day of 911.  SIR-NY grew to become one of the largest, if not the largest Insurance Program Provider for the NYC Inner City Landlords.  Today the Schecher Organization has a presence in the Finance, Real Estate, and Hospitality industries and is recognized as an "Expert" in their Niche Specialty by almost all of their clients, associates, and competitors.
